As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)- the protesters said that they are facing many problems due to the non-availability of pure drinking water. "We have approached the PHE department many a times but nothing was done on ground level," they residents said. They also alleged that the filtration plant which was constructed in 2013 at Malapora continues to remain defunct. The protestors shouted slogans against PHE department demanding the pure water supply stating that the filtration plant should be made functional at the earlier.
